The third season of Survivor Philippines will be hosted by no less than Mr. Richard Gutierrez, one of GMA-7's prime actors. He will replace Paolo Bediones, host of Survivor Philippines Season 1 & 2, who transferred to TV5 network a few months after the 2nd season ended. Dingdong Dantes, Ryan Agoncillo and Drew Arellano where also considered for the job.
Survivor Philippines Season 3 will feature local celebrities, which explains the lack of audition dates. The contestants will be stranded on an isolated island for 39 days until one remains and is given the title Pinoy Sole Survivor. They will face different challenges and trials against each other for a chance to win a whooping 3 million pesos, the largest ever cash prize in the history of Philippine reality game shows. Survivor Philippines Season 3 (Celebrity Edition) premieres soon on GMA 7 this 2010, weekday nights on primetime telebabad.
